October 28, 1782, a memorable day in the history of the American Revolution. This print shows the long line of soldiers from the West Point area encampment marching past General Knox Headquarters in New Windsor, N.Y. More than 8,000 men, with their equipment, marched to a destination just north of Vails Gate for a new encampment.
